Gift wrap - using your washi tape

I love washi tape and I keep buying it, maybe you are the same?
Here is a nice way to use some of that tape for a decorative gift wrap; I had some turquoise gift wrap and no ribbon to finish of my present, here is what I did:

There is a stamped greeting from Hero Arts on vellum with space to write a personal message as well.

Thanks for visiting

More feathers

As promised, here are some more cards made with my new stamp set from Artemio.

It's a really versatile set, lots of uses and the images come in several sizes, the longest feather measures 14 cm and it's this image that I used on this topfolding card. The same feather stamped twice in Warm red and Aquamarine Color box Chalk inks. The little sun is from a company called Olor - where can I have picked that one up I wonder? - and was embossed in gold. Three little enamel dots to complete the card.

The next card - that I have decided to enter into the Case Study Challenge blog this week, Challeng #154 - uses the smallest feather in the set, I really like this image, can be used as a leaf also. I stamped a repetetive pattern in Lime pastel, Aquamarine and Tangerine inks.

Then to soften the colors I added some vellum onto which I stamped a birthday greeting from Hero Arts. The difficulty with vellum is of course, how do you attach in an elegant way? Here I used a thin strip of double sided sticky tape to stick the vellum to my card front, then I hid the tape with a length of black and white washi tape - no can see ugly tape!  Happy about that! Proof below:

The third card is again using a feather from the set combined with part of a Paula Best sun stamp and a little bit of bling.

That's all for today, hope you have enjoyed, thanks for visiting!

There seem to be a problem with the template for my blog,  the color has dissappeared which is a bit annoying, I'll have to try and fiddle with it, please bare with me while I try and get things right...

I recently bought a new stamp set from Artemio with feathers - I have been playing around with it (more posts to come featuring these stamps) today I wanted to post some birthday cards I made.

Using just one small stamp of a feather, I repeatedly stamped a pattern in blues, rust and yellow.

One card was mounted to rust colored texture paper and then embellished with masking tape and a cut-out feather. maybe too much, sometimes it's hard to stop in time...

I personally prefer the second card, no embellishments just the greeting and mounted to light blue card stock and lined in pale yellow. I am entering this card into the Runway Inspired Challeng # 42 do I have a chance?

As I cut off a bit at the top on one of the cards I used that little piece to punch out my signature rabbit to attach to the back - the card looks red in the picture, not rust, so annoying!

The feminine touch - LSL

The challenge this month was to include hats, gloves, handbags, shoes along with feminine colors and a bit of bling - I have no stamps like that and it's not really my style so what to do, what to do?

"Well I can try using some pink maybe, oh and I have these glass beads and..." - inspiration came...

In the end I did  what I would consider very girly and I hope it works - I quite like it actually :)
By the way, the inside is hot pink too!

Flower from Paper Source, leafy border punch Martha Stewart, sentiment Artemio. inks Color Box chalks (as always).
